Version bumps often get announced with big banners and small actual changes. The Mulebuy spreadsheet 2026 refresh went the opposite direction — quiet announcement, meaningful changes. Here are the five that matter.
Upgrade 1: Stable category IDs
Category identifiers are frozen for 2026. Shoes are 911. T-shirts are 913. And so on through 921 for Other Stuff. Bookmarks made this year still resolve next year. Community QC threads no longer break with quarterly reshuffles.
Upgrade 2: Coupon flow moved
The shipping coupon step moved from product checkout to parcel submission. Sounds small; not small. See the coupon compound handbook for how this changes stacking behavior.

Upgrade 3: Per-listing QC aggregation
Community QC photos now aggregate at the listing level rather than at the order level. Researching a listing no longer requires hunting Discord threads for old orders — the QCs are on the listing page itself. Massive research quality improvement.
Upgrade 4: Category pruning
Roughly 15% of 2025 listings were removed as delisted or unreliable. The remaining 85% are all currently in stock or on active restock cycles. The sheet is deliberately smaller and higher signal-to-noise.
Upgrade 5: Mobile rebuild
Category browsing on phones was rebuilt from scratch. Filter chips replaced vertical accordions, and dropdowns no longer overflow on small screens. If you tried Mulebuy on mobile in 2024 and gave up, try again.
What did not change
- The eleven main categories are the same set.
- The QC finder tool works the same way, just with better data.
- Listing URL structure still uses category-XXX paths.
Should you re-open the sheet if you shopped in 2025?
Yes. The category stabilization alone is worth a fresh scroll. Open the homepage. For structural background, the 2026 guide covers the full map.
